SDI, an established surveying and engineering company specializing in topographic and hydrographic surveying, is seeking all levels of survey personnel interested in providing field survey support on marine and coastal related projects. Applicants must be interested and physically capable of working in and around environmentally challenging areas such as beaches, nearshore coastal areas, inland waterways and transitional wetland areas. Experience in small vessel operations preferred. Applicants must hold a valid driver's license, must be able to obtain a passport and be able to travel within the Florida and Caribbean area. Working knowledge of standard total station, data collectors both total station and RTK GPS, as well as, an understanding of basic coordinate geometry is preferred but not mandatory. Position is also available for an experienced Computer / CADD Technician familiar with AutoCAD and preferably MicroStation. Specific experience working with XYZ Files, Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) and TINs using Inroads, Geopach or comparable softwares as necessary for surface modeling, preparing contour maps, cross section plots and volume reports a must. Additional experience using ArcGIS and associated extensions preferred.
